Gangs of the 80s. Cinema, press and street

This exhibition offers a view of quinqui (juvenile delinquency) cinema, which peaked between 1978 and 1985, focusing on how it and the press of the time mutually fed off each other. The exhibition acts, furthermore, as a faithful reflection of the urban, social, political and economic transformations that were sweeping through the country at that time.

Following its presentation at the CCCB in the year 2009, and at La Casa Encendida de Madrid and the Centro Histórico de Zaragoza during 2010, it can be seen once again at the new Alhóndiga Bilbao centre from October 2011 to January 2012.
