«From doodles to pixels. Over one hundred years of spanish animation», produced by CCCB and Acción Cultural Española (ACE), is being screened at the International Festival of Animated Films Anifilm at Trebon (Czech Republic). The curator Carolina López has been invitde to present the cycle and Javier Mariscal will be preenting Chico y Rita.
The selection, made by curator Carolina López, includes films by artistes such as Segundo de Chomón, Josep Escobar, Francisco Macián, José Luis Moro, Jordi Amorós, Tomàs Bases, Raúl García,Juan Pablo Etcheverry, Isabel Herguera, Javier Mariscal, Anna Solanas, Marc Riba, Alberto Vázquez, Pedro Rivero, Izibene Oñederra, Nicolai Troshinsky and Rocío Álvarez, plus many more.
Thanks to this programme, works have been restored and digitised that were previously “invisible” because of their condition or difficulty of accessing them, using the best possible materials in each case.
