The feminist philosopher Françoise Collin stated that “the absence of women in history indicates more their exclusion from power than their lack of activity: what they produce and do, within the general framework of domination, does not bring them any recognition.”
In line with this statement and based on the Arendtian notion of “hidden tradition” as a tool, the philosopher Fina Birulés reflects on the exclusion of women in the history of thought and delves into the concepts of autonomy, dependence and equality in relation to feminism and political freedom.
