5 years of Xcentric

In 2006, the CCCB commemorates the fifth anniversary of its regular film and video programme, Xcentric. Its principal aim has been to promote those audiovisual productions which, for a variety of reasons, are excluded from the commercial circuits. In the course of these five years, the Xcentric programme has brought together the work of experimental and avant-garde film-makers, documentary makers and, in general, creators with a specific language of their own.

The CCCB is celebrating the road travelled so far by Xcentric and declaring a commitment to its continuity with three major events:

* The exhibition “THAT’S NOT ENTERTAINMENT! Film answers film”.
From 22 December 2006 to 18 March 2007.

* The Xcentric Archive.

* The publication Xcentric. 45 films
