Yair Amichai-Hamburguer

Specialist on psychology and Internet, is the director of the Research Center for Internet Psychology of the Herzliya Interdisciplinay Center (Tel Aviv). His first book, The Social Net. Human Behavior in Cyberspace, published by Oxford University Press in 2005 and reissued in 2013, was one of the first to explore the social psychology of the Internet, and it received international recognition. In this book, he asks how the Internet affects our well-being, and how it changes our social relationships. He has also taught at diverse institutions, and worked as an adviser in the Ministry of Education of Israel.
