W. G. Sebald

W. G. Sebald (Wertach im Allgäu, 1944-2001) was a writer, lecturer at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, and Director of the British Centre for Literary Translation.

His novels, which include Die Ringe des Saturn. Eine englische Wallfahrt (1995), Die Ausgewanderten (1992), Schwindel. Gefühle (1990), Austerlitz (2001), have been awarded numerous prizes.
