Vicenç Llorca

Vicenç Llorca holds a PhD in Social Communication and, with some thirty books published, has devoted himself mainly to poetry, essays and novels. His latest works include the poetry book La llum mirada (Perifèric, 2024), winner of the Critics' Prize Serra d'Or de Poesia 2024, and the novel Sinfonia de tardor (Grup 62, 2021), with which he closes a novelistic cycle of ten years of creation called Trilogia de l'amor (Trilogy of Love). As an essayist, he has written several studies on contemporary Catalan literature such as Màrius Sampere. Assaig de revisió del realisme històric (1989) or Salvar-se en la paraula. La novel·lística de Miquel Àngel Riera (Joaquim Xirau Prize 1994). In 1992 he collaborated in the tribute to Josep Maria Llompart at the Teatre Principal in Palma and in 1993 he wrote the prologue to the book Vocabulari privat (Columna, 1993), written by Josep Maria Llompart himself and Antònia Vicens.
