Vera Cataño

Journalist

With a degree in Journalism from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and postgraduate studies in Social and Labour Journalism, also at the UAB, she has lived in France, the United States, and Argentina, as well as in Madrid and Barcelona. She has worked in the mass media for more than thirteen years, especially in international news for television. For five years she was CNN correspondent in Spain and director of its office in Madrid and, in 2020, she received an EMMY Award. She has also presented and moderated debates and lectures for Casa América, CAF – Development Bank of Latin America, the IE Business School, and other institutions. At present, she is Communications Director of the Eulàlia Torras de Beà Foundation for children’s and young people’s mental health.
