Solana Larsen

Journalist and activist specialised in the Internet. Editor of the Mozilla Foundation’s Internet Health Report.

Her career has focused on use of the web, and especially citizen media, for global dialogue and international news reporting. She is the Editor of the Mozilla Foundation’s Internet Health Report, an annual compilation of research and stories to assess the “health" of the Internet worldwide, created through an open, collaborative process.

Previously, she was content writer for the World Wide Web Foundation's Web We Want initiative about global digital rights issues. For seven years, she was Managing Editor of Global Voices, an award-winning community of bloggers, writers and translators who report on international events and online activism, with websites in more than 30 different languages. Before this, she was an editor with the global politics website openDemocracy.net.
