Sadie Plant

Philosopher, writer and teacher

Sadie Plant is a philosopher and writer born in 1964 in Birmingham, England. Graduated in Philosophy at the University of Manchester , she has taught  Cultural Studies at the University of Birmingham. Since 1995 she has been working in the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit as a Research Fellow at the University of Warwick (UK).  She is currently  the Director of this research unit and teaches  on the Fine Arts MA at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design. 

Plant is also the author of several books including The Most Radical Gesture : The Situationist International in a Postmodern Age (1992) Zeros and Ones (1997), Written with Drugs (1999), Where the mobile - the effects of mobile telephones on social and single life (2001) and The most radical gesture : the Situationist International in a postmodern era (2008).
