Ruth de Diego

Ruth de Diego has a PhD in Psychology from the University of Barcelona and has specialised in psycholinguistics and cognitive neuroscience. She subsequently completed a three-year postdoctoral degree at the Université Paris Est Créteil, where she studied the involvement of the corpus striatum in processing new language rules. She was also a reader at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris. After a period working as an ICREA researcher, she is now an ICREA professor at the University of Barcelona. Her research is mainly concerned with cognitive functions and neuronal circuits participating in the extraction of grammatical rules in language learning.
