Rosa Martha Fernández

Rosa Martha is a social psychologist, writer, and film, theater, and television director; Graduate of the Faculty of Psychology and the Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos at UNAM, the Institute of Psychology in Paris, the School of Writers of the Society of Writers of Mexico, the Directing Workshop at La Casa del Teatro, the School of Theater at the National Center for the Arts, and L'École Nationale de Théâtre Jaques Lecoc, Paris, France. She has written and directed over 80 fiction, documentary, videodance, and theater videos, of which the series "La casa Dividida" won first place in script and scenic direction at the National University Television Festival; The program "La Respuesta está en el Aire" won the first prize in Social Sciences Documentary at the Festival of Scientific Film and Video, the videodance "El Recurso del Miedo" was nominated for the "Grand Prix International Vidéodanse" in France; The videodance "PICNIC" was selected to be screened at the "Dance on Camera Festival" in New York, and the underwater videodance "Entre paredes de Agua" was selected to receive the grant from the FONCA Project and Co-investment Program and has won several awards: "Best Video Creation" II Int. Fest Dona I Cinema, Valencia, Spain; "Best Music," Nomination for Best Post-production and Visual Effects, Pantalla de Cristal, Mexico, Nomination for Best Music, International Blue Ocean Film Festival, Monterey, California. Co-founder of the feminist collective Cine Mujer. She was the General Director of TV UNAM. 1989-1993. The university television project carried out during those years was selected to participate in the international "Jules Verne" award for the best project in the television dissemination of Culture and Science by the National Center for Scientific Research CNRS, Images Media, and the "Jules Verne" Agency in France. 1992. From 1978 to 2005, she taught scriptwriting and directing at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, ENEP Aragón, and the Faculty of Chemistry at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
