Raki Ap

Raki Ap, spokesperson for the Free West Papua campaign, is one of the leaders of the movement to liberate West Papua from Indonesia’s occupation, and also international representative of the Provisional Government of West Papua’s policy against climate change, the Green State Vision. He and his family went into exile after his father was murdered by the Indonesian army in 1984 and he now lives in The Hague, where he works as a civil servant and educator in the areas of forest protection, biodiversity, and climate change, always emphasising the importance of Indigenous perspectives.
