Playmodes

The digital artisans Santi Vilanova and Eloi Maduell who have taught graphic design, musical composition, and computer engineering, conceive works that are somewhere between art, science and audiovisual research. Developed using homemade technologies, their projects take the forms of immersive light installations, graphic works, sculptural devices, kinetic engines, scenography, and multimedia concerts that explore an abstract universe of visual music. Inspired by natural phenomena, scientific research, literature, abstract art, experimental animation, and contemporary music, they produce abstract pieces which, from a variety of perspectives, accentuate perceptions of space, light, sound and time.
