Peer Zumbansen
Professor of Law and Research Chair in Transnational Economic Governance and Legal Theory at the Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto.
He studied Law at the universities of Paris, Frankfurt and Harvard and has been Director of the Critical Research Laboratory in Law & Society, Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, where he heads two research programmes, one on Comparative Research in Law and Political Economy and the other at the Collaborative Urban Research Laboratory.
He is also co-director of the European Union Centre of Excellence at York University, and has been Visiting Professor in Corporate Governance and Transnational law at the University College Dublin School of Law and Visiting Professor at the International Institute of the Sociology of Law in Oñati, Spain.
Notable among his recent publications are Rough Consensus and Running Code: A Theory of Transnational Private Law (Hart Publishing, 2010); “The Conundrum of Order: The Concept of Governance from an Interdisciplinary Perspective” in David Levi-Faur (ed.)
