Paula Grande

Self-taught, this feisty mestiza Catalan composer moves between the registers of jazz, soul, hip-hop and popular traditional Latin music. Fusion is her most distinctive feature. She has been able to teach her music all around the world and, in her journeys, she has accumulated international awards, including the Special Recognition Prize of the prestigious Shure Montreux Jazz Voice Competition and the Best Free Repertoire Prize of Jazz Voices, Lithuania. In 2016, she published her first work, Interstellar Journey and is presently engaged in projects of co-creation, among them the show Vega in which she speaks about the role of women in several aspects of everyday life. This year she is also working on her third studio disc, Denominación de Orígenes (Guarantee of Origins), which is to be released in 2022.
