Ölivias

Ölivias is the name of the experimental folk music duet formed by Clàudia Balletbó (voice and electronic pad) and Isabel Archs (violin and piano). Emerged in 2020 as a conceptual music initiative, they centered their research around the cult of death and mourning through two twin works, Antich Ventura (2021) and Clamare (2022), which features collaborations with artists such as Marina Herlop, Tarta Relena and The Bird Yellow. They work transversally with other artistic disciplines and the central axis of their compositions is the word. They take great care with the verses and the images they suggest, and the harmonization and melodies are structured around them, with the aim of creating a sound space that allows the listener to enter an atmospheric narrative arc in the form of a circular journey.
