Núria Vergés Bosch

A postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Sociology at the University of Barcelona, she graduated in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, has a master’s degree in Public and Social Policies from the Pompeu Fabra and Johns Hopkins universities, and a PhD in the Information Society and Knowledge from the Internet Interdisciplinary Institute at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). She has been a visiting scholar at the Centre for Gender and Women’s Studies at Trinity College, Dublin, at the University of Konstanz and at the Instituto Gino Germani Universidad de Buenos Aires. Is a member of the Interuniversity Institute of Women’s Studies and Gender Research of Catalonia, and of the Copolis research group at the University of Barcelona. She is also a co-founder of the women and technologies collective Donestech, and a member of the ALIA women’s association for research and action. She has carried out several studies on gender and technology, human resources in science and technology, and public and family policies.
