Nicolas Dickner

Author of the prize-winning novel« Nikolski» (2005), translated in 10 languages, and other titles

Born in Rivière-du-Loup (Canada) in 1972, Nicolas Dickner grew up in a middle-class family. He studied visual arts, literature and information sciences, and since 2002 has devoted his time essentially to writing.

To date he ha published, alone or in collaboration, seven books and over two-hundred chronicles on the world of the book. His novels have been translated into a dozen languages and have earned various distinctions, including winning the Canada Reads competition with Nikolski (2010) and the Governor General’s Literary Award for Six degrés de liberté (2015). Two of his works have been translated into English: Nikolski (2008) and Apocalypse for Beginners (2010).

He currently lives with his family in Montreal.
