Montgomery
MONTGOMERY (Seville)
Montgomery imbibed the Motown sound, absorbed major black Caribbean influences and, on his constant visits to the grooviest venues in New Orleans, incorporated jazz, before discovering and appropriating afrobeat and Irish folk.
In a departure from landscape sounds, musician and composer Miguel Marín, also known as Arbol, presents his new musical project at E! Montgomery comprises Gaby Vargas (guitar and most recent addition to Arbol), Miriam Blanch (bass and vocals, known on the indie scene in the nineties as co-founder and member of Seville’s Explosivos Acme and now director of the sound art festival intr;muros) and Amanda Palma (drums and vocals, also involved in projects such as Norris B and Katapulto).
