Monica Nagler-Wittgenstein

Monica Nagler-Wittgenstein is a literary journalist and an authority on German-language literature.

A great-niece of the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein, she was born in Austria in 1935 but fled with her parents in 1938 to settle in Sweden. Over the years she has become one of the country’s most recognised cultural journalists and president of Swedish PEN. As part of her professional work she has covered events related with the Nobel Prize and has also had close contact with writers like Herta Müller.
