Miguel Usandizaga

Miguel Usandizaga (Barcelona, 1954), is an architect with a PhD in Architecture from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). Since 1998 he has worked with the architects Lluís Cantallops, Albert Cuchí, Arcadio de Bobes, José Antonio Martínez Lapeña, Elías Torres and Toni Tribó. In 1994 he was awarded the FAD Jury’s Prize for Architecture in the Outside Spaces section (with José Antonio Martínez Lapeña and Elías Torres). From 1990 to 1999 he was deputy-head of Studies and Director of the Vallès School of Architecture (UPC). He has carried out research in history of art and architecture, markets and urban spaces, forms of modern space, universal design, and theatre architecture and set design.
