Mette Skjold

CEO of the Danish design Studio SLA

Mette Skjold, CEO of the Danish design Studio SLA, works on innovative urban and rural development projects concerned with present-day challenges that are faced in issues of urban public space. She has been involved in initiatives ranging from large-scale masterplans in Toronto to city squares in Shanghai, through to transforming the largest urbanisation project of social housing in Aarhus, Denmark, and is presently working on plans for the sustainable revitalisation of the city of Kongens Lyngby (2022-2030) and the Tingbjerg neighbourhood of Copenhagen (2017-2027), among other projects. With a master’s degree in Architecture, Leadership, and Innovation, she has also taugth urbanism at the Copenhagen School of Architecture and serving as a member of the board of directors of the Danish Architecture Centre (DAC).
