Mark Bray

Author and historian

Mark Bray is a US historian of human rights, terrorism, and political radicalism in Modern Europe. He was one of the organisers of Occupy Wall Street in New York in 2011. He is the author of Translating Anarchy: The Anarchism of Occupy Wall Street (2013), Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook (Melville House 2017) and The Anarchist Inquisition: Terrorism and Human Rights in Spain and France, 1890-1910 (forthcoming). Bray is also co-editor of Anarchist Education and the Modern School: A Francesc Ferrer Reader. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, Foreign Policy, Critical Quarterly and ROAR Magazine. He is currently a lecturer at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, USA.
