Maria Sisternas

An architect and consultant, Maria Sisternas is cofounder of Mediaurban, an agency of the Mediapro group dedicated to looking for technological solutions to create more liveable cities. She holds a degree in architecture from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) and a Master’s degree in City Design and Social Science from the London School of Management. Throughout her career she has focused on studying the development of global cities and the interactions between the digital, social and economic spheres involved in urban transformations. From 2010 to 2015 she was the director of projects for the Urban Habitat department at the Barcelona City Council. She writes frequently about urban issues for a variety of media outlets and is a regular contributor to the newspaper Ara.
