Marc Sanjaume
Assistant Professor of Political Theory at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona, he is a member of the Political Theory research group and coordinator of the master’s degree in Current Democracies. His areas of interest are theories of democracy in relation to cultural pluralism, including self-determination movements, nationalism, and federalism. Together with Marc Guinjoan and Toni Rodon, he is author of the book Catalunya, un pas endavant (Catalonia, a Step Forward, Angle Editorial, 2013) and his research has been published in Journal of Politics, Nations and Nationalism, and Canadian Journal of Political Science and Representation, among other such journals. He works with media outlets and is a prime mover of the political blog El pati descobert. He has worked on projects with the Open University of Catalonia, the University of Edinburgh, and Laval University (Quebec) and has also been an advisor to the Institute of Self-Government Studies of the Generalitat (Government) of Catalonia.
