Mar Cabra

Mar Cabra (@cabralens) is an investigative journalist specialising in data analysis. A reporter and member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ). Her latest post was as Data Research Manager in the macro investigation into Offshore Tax Havens (‘Offshores’).  She has published work on the trafficking of human tissues, overfishing and the overmedication of foster children in the US with psychotropic drugs in media such as The International Herald Tribune, Le Monde, El País, El Mundo, The Huffington Post and the US public television channel PBS, among others.In 2012, she was awarded the Larra Prize, by the Press Association of Madrid. She is a teacher of the Master’s Degree in Investigative Journalism run by Unidad Editorial and works to promote various data journalism initiatives on a national level.
