La Calòrica

A theatre company created in 2010 when a group of friends who had just graduated from the Institut del Teatre decided that neither the then financial crisis nor the lack of resources would deter them from embarking on an ambitious, committed theatre where all the languages used in theatre would work together and be treated with the same depth.

La Calòrica has investigated very different aesthetic and thematic areas. Political reflection and use of comedy for tackling the most serious problems are its common denominator. Fairfly (the winner of two Max Awards for the Performing Arts and the Critics’ Prize), Els ocells, De què parlem mentre no parlem de tota aquesta merda and Le Congrès ne marche pas are among its latest creations.
