José Luis Garci

José Luis Garci (Madrid, 1944) is a producer, film critic, literary author, screenwriter, television host, and film director. In 1983, his film "Volver a Empezar" won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film.

Among his filmography, movies like "Sesión Continua" (1984) and "Asignatura Aprobada" (1987), for which he won the Goya Award for Best Director, as well as "El Abuelo" (1998), were also nominated for Oscars. Currently, he is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Hollywood.
