José Luis Cuerda

Few Spanish films enjoy such an unconditional following as Amanece, que no es poco. Its fans know by heart dialogues that its author and director, José Luis Cuerda (Albacete, 1947), has probably forgotten. With several successful films under his belt (El bosque animado, La marrana, La lengua de las mariposas), he has now decided to dispatch books as funny as his cult film. Pepitas de calabaza has just published his first novel, Tiempo después.
