Joan Vila i Simon

Joan Vila i Simon is very well known in his field of paper engineering. He studied Paper Engineering at the Grenoble Institute of Technology and at the Terrassa School of Industrial Engineering and is a lecturer in Paper Engineering and also Energy Studies at the University of Girona (UdG). He is managing director of LC Paper, a company founded in 1881 which, with its innovations in paper manufacture, is a European pioneer. The company received the Pulp and Paper International Award in 2011 for the great improvements it has achieved in energy and water saving in the process of paper production.
