Jelmer Peter

Jelmer Peter is “programme manager visitor economy” for the city of Amsterdam, Netherlands, working with a team responsible for all tourism-related policies, research, and regulations. Amsterdam has been taking a wide variety of measures to regulate tourism and work towards a more sustainable visitor economy. Jelmer Peter collaborates with many other departments in areas like taxation, housing, spatial planning, mobility or sustainability. This includes liaising with the public-private foundation Amsterdam&Partners, which is the DMO (Destination Management Organization) of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area, to further their shared goal of preserving the habitability and liveability of the city (centre).
