Jeffrey Abé Pans

Pan-Africanist activist linked to black empowerment collectives. He was introduced into Africanist circles by writers like Remei Sipi and Inongo vi Makomé. This intergenerational relationship, with mentors from his community, has allowed him to know first-hand the socio-cultural demands of the Black, African and Afro-descendant Community in Spain during the last decades. He has coordinated the book When We Are the Enemy. Black activism in Spain (Editorial Mey, 2019), a compilation of articles written by black activists who talk about their struggle from different perspectives such as feminism, politics, journalism or academia. The book has been very well received in circles linked to black activism and has become a reference work for many young people of African descent.
