Jaume C. Pons Alorda
He was born in Caimari and lives in Vilafranca del Penedès. He is a writer, translator, editor and creative writing teacher. His latest books are Mil súmmums (AdiA Edicions, 2022) and Les cendres de Pasolini (Lleonard Muntaner Editor, 2023). He is currently working on the novel Matances, the end of the trilogy begun with Faula (Pare Colom Prize, Lleonard Muntaner Editor, 2012) and continued with Ciutat de Mal (Ciutat de Tarragona Pin i Soler Prize and Òmnium Prize Finalist, Angle Editorial, 2019). In the field of translation, he has translated Walt Whitman, Penelope Fitzgerald, William Wordsworth, Elizabeth Bishop, Edgar Allan Poe, William Blake or Iris Murdoch into Catalan. He co-directs the narrative collections Artificium and Debiaix, Lleonard Muntaner Editor. On the other hand, he recommends readings in his social networks; in several media such as Ara Balears, Lletres Bàrbares and La Veu dels Llibres; or in the literature podcast L'Illa de Maians.
