Ignasi Gozalo Salellas

PhD in Philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania and a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UPF and in Humanities from the UOC. He researches on contemporary thought and visual culture with special emphasis on the intersection between aesthetics and politics. He also holds a Master's degree in Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania and in Museum Studies and Critical Theory from the UAB. He has taught at various U.S. institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, Ohio State University and Bryn Mawr College, and was also a visiting scholar at Columbia University. Currently, he combines teaching communication, design and philosophy at the UOC with collaborating with media such as Diari Ara, CTXT or Público, among others, and institutions such as the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Reina Sofía Museum or Librería La Central. He is also the author of the essay La excepcionalidad permanente (Anagrama, 2023) and co-author of the volume El síntoma Trump. Qué hacer ante la ola reaccionaria (Lengua de Trapo, 2019) and the documentary series ¿Qué hacer? America in the Trump Era (CTXT, 2018).
