He Guimei

Professor of the Faculty of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University, He Guimei 贺桂梅is also specialises in history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature, twentieth-century women’s literature in China, and Chinese popular culture and contemporary thought. Her works include Imagination of the Humanities: Thought, Culture and Literature in Contemporary China (Henan University Press, 2005); The Transformation in Women’s Literature and Gender Politics, (Peking University Press, 2014); and The Literature of Zhao Shuli and the Modernity of Rural China (Beiyue Literature and Art Press, 2016).
