Godfried Donkor. Artist from Africa (Kumasi, Ghana, 1964). In 1972 he moved to London where he studied Fine Arts at St. Martins College of Art (1989). Between 1991 and 1992, he develops postgraduate studies at Escola Massana of Barcelona,  scholarship by UNESCO. In 1995 he obtained a Masters in African Art History at School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. In 1998, Donkor is awarded the Prix Revelation Dakar Biennale, and in 2004, the Arts Council of England, Research and Development.Currently, Godfried Donkor lives and works in London, mainly in the field of painting, and lately has been introduced in the field of video. Known mainly for his mixed media collages and prints, his work focuses on the iconography of mass media. Godfied Donkor has had solo exhibitions in Belgium, France, German, Ghana, Senegal, Sweden, South Africa, United Kingdom and United States; and has participated in several international exhibitions and art biennals like Venice (2001), Havanna (2000) and Dakar (1998)
