Gani Mirzo

Kurdish musician, born in the Syrian city of Qamichlo. He began his studies at the Conservatory of Music in Aleppo and later continued this training in Barcelona. Between 1994 and 2000 he carried out research on flamenco at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, together with Professor Manuel Granados, and in 1995 he created the group Gani Mirzo Trio, a band recognized for investigating the fusion between Kurdish and oriental music with flamenco and jazz. He released his first album, Roni, in 2000. A few years later, in 2014, he recorded KampoDomiz the sales of which were destined to collaborate with the refugee camps in Syrian and Iraqi Kurdistan. Gani has performed in several countries such as France, Germany, Mexico, Morocco, Algeria, Belgium, etc.
