François L’Yvonnet

Philosopher and editor.

Professor of Philosophy, writer and editor, he is director of the collections “Via Latina” and “Philosophie” in the publishing houses Albin Michel and L’Herne, respectively. He has devoted some of his research to such figures as Louis Massignon, Paul Claudel, Léon Bloy, George Steiner and Simone Weil and has published a number of studies on them. With Thierry Gaudin ha has also co-authored L'Avenir de l'Esprit (Albin Michel, 2001) and Discours de la méthode créatrice (Le Relié, 2003). A personal friend of Jean Baudrillard, he was director of the anthology Baudrillard (Cahiers de L’Herne, 2005).
