Eva Ortega Puig
Actress, poet and audiovisual creator
Eva Ortega Puig performs, writes verses, animates scrawls, or imitates like an octopus. She enjoys playing and shaping the flights that pass through her. And with each flight, its form.
She holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UAB and in Dramatic Arts from the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona. As a performer, she has worked with various theater companies (Mambo Project, Roger Bernat/FFF, compagnie du sarment, ImpactaT, Albert Mestres/La Decimonònica) and in the political satire TV program "Polònia" on TV3 since the 2021/22 season. For family audiences, since 2016 she has worked as a storyteller (bookstores, libraries, publishers) and as an actress-facilitator at the feminist film distributor Pack Màgic from Drac Màgic with the project “Kinosaure”.
Amb la melsa a la butxaca (AdiA Edicions, 2023) is her first poetry collection, winner of the Gumersind Gomila Poetry Award from Maó. She created the engravings for the poem book Flama by Albert Mestres (editorial Rema12, 2021). She has performed at various poetry festivals (LiberisLiber, Pirineu Terra de Versos, Festival RUSC, DO Poesia, Festival de Poesia de Gironella, among others).
As an audiovisual creator, she has made the animated short films Camps d’auguri and Transastralisme, selected at L’Alternativa Festival in 2019 and 2021; the videopoem Carta a la Mia de ‘Fish tank’, selected for the virtual exhibition "Rutes del desig: carta de navegació per l’Arxipèlag” (2022) at the Virreina Centre de la Imatge in Barcelona; and the piece in tribute to Agnès Varda Les espigoladores, as part of the exhibition dedicated to the filmmaker at the CCCB (2024).
She has provided creative support for the voiceover (script and narration) in the documentaries Casa Reynal (Docs Barcelona Award 2024) by Laia Manresa, La fibra sensible by Isabel Andrés (Diagonal TV, 2024), and El que encara ens balla (2022) by Marga Almirall.
