Eva Murgui

A visual journalist who works in shooting and producing films, she's especially interested in documenting everyday life in the outskirts of the city, with the intention of dignifying the particular features of these places and highlighting the leading role played by women. In 2021, as associate producer, she premiered the feature film Chavalas (Silver Biznaga, Audience Award at the Malaga Festival, two Goya Award nominations, three Gaudí Award nominations and two Feroz Award nominations) and in 2020 she co-produced La vella lluita (a short film put forward for the XIII Premis Gaudí, received the jury's special mention at FEMCINE and was shortlisted at several international festivals). She's worked as assistant director on several fiction and documentary feature films, such as Muyeres (in post-production), Mi vacío y yo (world premiere at the International Film Festival of Rotterdam 2022) and Quinqui Stars (premiered at the 63rd Seminci).

She writes and directs Satélites, selected for the City Symphonies project and produced by the CCCB in collaboration with Dones Visuals, which premieres at D’A Film Festival 2022.
