Esther Fernández Cifuentes

Teacher, researcher and cultural manager. With an Arts degree and a master’s degree in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies from the Pompeu Fabra University, she is presently completing a PhD in Theory of Literature and Comparative Literature at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, where she also teaches. A member of the Cuerpo y Textualidad (Body and Textuality) group, she is researching into the relationship between pornographic films and musicals, from the standpoint of gender and cultural studies. As a cultural manager, she has worked in institutions like the CCCB and the Società Umanitaria – Cineteca Sarda (Italia) as well as being an organiser of Ladyfest Barcelona 2016.
