Ernesto Collado

Ernesto Collado (Barcelona, 1974) is an actor and intermittent creator on the contemporary Barcelona scene. He lives and works in a small village in the Empordà, where he directs, jointly with the Societat Doctor Alonso, the Cèl·lula centre for creation and the MAPA Festival. From his early days of cabaret and underground, he retains an indestructible desire to communicate and an ingrained allergy to media figures. His stories, which merge reality and fiction, are frenzied and imaginative with serious side effects, marked by a taste for the singular. His shows, with their ever-present humour and music, play with the audience’s expectations and theatrical conventions.
