Elizabeth Diago

Elizabeth Diago is Doctor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Complutense University of Madrid and has a master’s degree in Public Health from the State University of New York. She has worked for the New York City Department of Health as manager of the city’s health system preparedness programming to deal with health emergencies related to special pathogens and antibiotic resistance, and has participated actively in the response to COVID-19. She currently works at ISGlobal as manager of the Health Crisis Preparedness and Response programme, coordinating and promoting activities and research to help society be prepared to respond to various health crises.
