Elena Medel

Born in Cordoba in 1985, she has been living in Madrid since 2006 with an artist's scholarship at the Residencia de Estudiantes (Students' Residence). She has produced the collections of poems Mi primer biquini (My First Bikini, DVD, 2002), Vacaciones (Holidays, El gaviero, 2004) and Tara (Tara, DVD 2006). Her poetry has been partially translated into Arabic, English, Italian and Portuguese and has been included in numerous anthologies. She also writes fiction.
Moreover, she works in different areas of the media besides being one of the coordinators of the cultural agitation project La Bella Varsovia. She has a Web page about her work (http://www.elenamedel.com).
