Desert didn’t have time to become “Barcelona’s best-kept secret”. With just two songs behind them, their name spread like wildfire around blogs the world over. England, Belgium, the USA, Germany and Canada were talking about the Cocteau Twins, Laurel Halo, Broadcast and Beach House, about songs that sound like a whirlwind of synthesizers and pop melodies. In just a few months they became one of the most promising talents on the Catalan scene and candidates for Revelation of the Year.

The group is Cristina Checa (lead singer with Granit) and Eloi Caballé (producer of Granit’s EP). They’re currently working on their next release for the US label Minty Fresh, which they’ll be presenting at E!
