Cristina Junyent

Cristina Junyent has a degree and doctorate in Biology from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in Science Communication from the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). She is founder and director of the Fundació Ciència en Societat (Science in Society Foundation), which aims to promote and stimulate scientific culture. Her two main areas of study are human biology and science communication. She has published several books and writes articles for La Vanguardia, Mètode and Transversal, as well as being editor-in-chief of the journal Omniscellula, which is published by the Societat Catalana de Biologia (Catalan Society of Biology), an affiliate of the Institute for Catalan Studies. Furthermore, she has worked in the educational programmes Einstein a la platja, of BTV (Barcelona Television) and REDES on TV2 (Spanish Television) and is a member of the Associació Catalana de Comunicació Científica (Catalan Association for Science Communication).
