Cory Doctorow

Cory Efram Doctorow (Toronto, 1971) is a Canadian journalist and science-fiction writer. He is co-editor of the blog Boing Boing, and a leading activist in favour of liberalising copyright laws and a proponent of the Creative Commons organization. Digital rights management, file sharing and post-scarcity are common themes in his work. Doctorow is a prolific author who has published novels, essays, comics and journalistic articles. His fictional work includes Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom (Tor, 2003), Little Brother (Tom Doherty Associates, 2008), The Rapture of the Nerds (Tor, 2012), Homeland (Tor, 2013) and the graphic novel In Real Life (First Second, 2014).

More recently, Doctorow released Radicalized (Tor, 2019), a collection of four self-contained science-fiction novellas dealing with how life in America could be in the near future. The book was selected for the 2020 edition of Canada Reads. And Attack Surface, a standalone adult novel set in the Little Brother universe, was released on 2020 (Tor, 2020).
