Corine Pelluchon

A philosopher and lecturer in Philosophy at the University of Paris-Est-Marne-La-Vallée, Corine Pelluchon specialises in political philosophy and applied ethics with particular attention to issues of bioethics, environmental philosophy, and the politics of animal ethics. Her books include Les Nourritures. Philosophie du corps politique (Seuil, 2015) and Manifeste animaliste: politiser la cause animale (Alma éditeur, 2017), which is published in Catalan as Manifest Animalista: polititzar la causa animal (Rosa dels Vents, 2018) and also in Spanish by Reservoir Books in 2018. In this work, Pelluchon draws attention to the violence to which animals are submitted and brings this discussion into the heart of the political domain. She has recently published a book titled Éthique de la considération (Seuil, 2018).
