Clara Roquet

Screenwriter and filmmaker

Clara Roquet is a screenwriter and film director. She has written scripts for the films 10.000 km and Els dies que vindran (with Carlos Marques-Marcet), Petra, by Jaime Rosales, and Costa Brava, Lebanon (with Mounia Akl). Her first feature film, Libertad, which was premiered at the Cannes Critics’ Week, has won two Goya awards, including the prize for Best New Director, and it has also received four Gaudí awards. Thanks to a scholarship, she obtained a master’s degree in Screenwriting from Columbia University, New York. She combines her artistic work with teaching Screenwriting and Directing at the Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona.
